The one complaint I have about in-home childcare, is that things do not seem to stay the same for long.
Sometimes I have kids long-term, some times I have them for a short period.
Sometimes I make projection plans, only to have them not work because things aka kids change their attendance.
It is the downside to this. Upside is all the cuteness, hugs, giggles and fun we have and I figure even if I only have that kiddo for a little bit, at least I know I made a difference in their life.
I am losing a long time kiddo. 2+ years he has been with me. He has gone from 1 day a week to 2, then full-time. His parents recently bought a house outside of town and it is too hard to bring him in daily. He will go down to 1 day a week so Mom can come into town and take care of business. That will continue until he starts school Fall 2017.
I have had inquiries from past clients and we are working out the details.
But new kids means adjustment of all the schedules, all the cubbies, all the colors kids are assigned. Lots of changes in the past week to get things to work. Yep, I could wait until October when it actually happens but that isn’t how I roll. It would stress me out. Easier to start getting it changed NOW, so it goes smoothly once it happens.
Plus next week we are to start our Preschool lessons and I need to get ready for those too. Plus we are doing much more scheduled mornings, so THAT will cut into my get ready for upcoming changes time!
And FALL seems to be lurking around the corner, so we need to grab and hang on to any of our outside time that we can. Before the rains come back and we are once again, housebound.
Stay tuned for further adventures of Preschoolers Day by Day!
